MUA Heaven and Earth Palette

I finally found this palette after searching high and low for it....
I walked into a superdrug in Camden and it was in stock.
For £4 it was a bargain.

This palette is filled with neutral shades but unfortunately none of them are matte so I find that I cant do a complete eye look with this, since I like to use a matte eyeshadow or two when using all shimmer.

I love using the colours in this palette and there's 3 beautiful highlight colours in there.
These eyeshadows don't have the best staying power so I think i'm going to keep it as part of my kit.

M.A.C Tan Pigment

I've had my eye on Tan Pigment for a while and I couldn't resist.....

I picked it up on recent visit to M.A.C and it is beautiful. I used it the other day as a wash of colour all over the lid with Nylon as my highlight and winged eyeliner.
Its a very versatile pigment. You can wear it alone on the lid or with 2 or 3 eyeshadows and maybe even with a bright coloured eyeliner on the lower lashline for a nice pop of colour.

Here it is swatched on my hand....

Maybelline 24hour Color Tattoo

They're finally here!!

So, you may already know about the new Maybelline 24 hour Color Tattoos.
These launched first in the U.S and have now landed in the U.K
I went to my local Superdrug today to have a play with these. Unfortunately most of the colours were sold out but I did manage to get my hands on this beautiful colour called Permanent Taupe

As the name suggests it is a taupe colour. It is very creamy in texture and dries down to a completely matte finish. These retail at £4.99
Here it is swatched on my hand

Some say that these are comparable to the M.A.C Paint Pots. I personally feel that the consistency is similar to the Paint Pots but they dry down a lot more, whereas the paint pots dry to as a more cream to powder finish

I think this colour will go great with Satin Taupe eyeshadow by M.A.C and other grey and plum toned eyeshadows or even by itself. I have not tested if they last 24 hours like it claim but I will keep you posted!

Overall I think that these cream eyeshadows are great bases and I cant wait to try new colours when they are back in stock

M.AC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural

This is one of my favourite powders which I use for setting my foundation and sometimes I use it alone when I want some coverage but I dont want to wear liquid foundation.
Since the powder is so sheer I dont feel like I'm caking my face with make up when I set my liquid foundation with it

I usually use a Kabuki brush to buff the powder into my skin for a flawless natural finish.
I use the medium shade.

The only downfall to this product is that it doesnt have a mirror so I have to take a separate one in my make up bag but other than that, in my opinion it is perfect

I cant live without this product x

M.A.C says:  A luxurious domed face powder with minerals, slowly baked to provide a dimensional yet natural-matte finish. Provides perfect low coverage. Use to set and fix foundation or as a touch-up throughout the day

M.A.C Fleur Power Blush

So I decide to write a post about one of my favourite blushes EVER!
Fleur Power......

I picked this up on a whim at my local M.A.C store.
I was looking for a pinky blush to it to lift my complexion during the winter months when I felt that my skin was looking a bit dull. Then I found Fleur Power.

This is a beautiful satin finish blush with some coral tones to it which will see me through spring too. Its quite a sheer blush but can come come across as quite heavy if you're too heavy handed, especially if you have a fair to medium complexion like me.
Here it is swatched on my hand

My camera isn't giving this blush the justice that it deserves. In real life it is a beautiful coral pink colour with no shimmer to it.

In my opinion this is a must have x

Vanilla Pigment

I was looking through my pigment collection and I decided that this one needed a post dedicated to it and all its greatness.
I'm talking about vanilla pigment.

This pigment is just so versatile, it can be used in so many different ways.
I use mine as an eyeshadow, as my highlight or with other eyeshadows to create a look. I also like to use this on the inner corner to highlight that area and make me look more awake.
I like to use this pigment mixed with my moisturizer or foundation to create a subtle healthy glow.
I also like to use this as a highlight dusted over my cheeks, down the bridge of my nose, on my brow bone and on my cupids bow

Here's a swatch

This absolutely beautiful pigment looks white in the pot but when it is swatched, it turns into a really nice, wearable gold colour.

This is a must for your collection.
I highly recommend x

Sugarpill Goldilux Pigment

I purchased this pigment on the internet, only seeing swatches online and on other blogs.
It is so much prettier than I expected and it has fast turned into one of my favourites.

Its a beautiful true gold pigment and its ultra shimmery too

I use this whenever I want an intense, metallic sheen to the lid.

This looks amazing with matte chocolate brown shades to compliment this colour or even black for a very intense look. I also use this on the inner corner or my lower lash line for nice sheen to eye.

Here's a swatch....

This picture doesn't do the pigment justice and I strongly recommend checking this out in person x

Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer

Soap and Glory have recently launched their new make up line and I decided to check it out since I love their line of toiletries.
I had my eye on the concealer after I checked it out in Boots and seen good reviews online and I decided to purchase.

It comes with two shades of concealer, a powder to set it and a handy mirror in the lid

The left side is a peachy toned corrector and the right side is a skin tone concealer.

The concealer itself is very creamy and is just the right consistency. Not too thick and not too light either.

The only downfall to this product is the colour range. It only comes in light and medium so there's not a shade for darker skin tones. I have light-medium skin tone (MAC NC35) so the light shade is slightly too light for me and the medium shade is way too dark. The powder that comes with the concealer is very good and applies well. since it is a translucent powder it will suit and skin tone.

Guerlain Terracotta Bronzer

I decided to treat myself to the Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder and I am so impressed.
It is by far the best bronzer I have ever used,
I have tried bronzers by M.A.C, Dior and Clinique and this is my favourite.

It has a hefty price tag at £33.50 but it is definitely worth the money.

I chose the colour 02

It has such a beautiful tone to it and is not too orange. I am a medium skin tone and I think this is just perfect for my skin tone and it smells pretty good too.

The packaging is just gorgeous too and I love bringing this out of my make-up bag and showing it off :)

Sigma F82 Round Kabuki Brush

Well what can I say about this brush?
Pure perfection.....

I was a bit hesitant purchasing this brush because I am so used to M.A.C brushes which cost a lot more.
This brush cost me £13.99 and I am absolutely amazed with the results. After I used this brush for the first time I couldn't stop looking at myself in the mirror. My skin looked airbrushed and seamless with no streaks.

The bristles are full and tightly packed

The actual brush is quite small and can blend into hard to reach areas such as around the nose.

I usually use my hands to apply foundation as I like a natural finish but since buying this brush I have been using it every day as I love the results. I can apply a full face of foundation with this brush in very little time.
I am in love with this brush and I think its an essential tool for your kit while being affordable x

Sleek Ultra Mattes Palette

New Sleek Palettes!!

I went into my local Superdrug this morning and to my surprise I found the new Sleek palettes out.
After swatching the dark palette I knew I had to get it.

There was one other palette called brights but I decided to pass on that one since I like my bright eyeshadows to be a little more shimmery and with a bit more dimension.
I've been waiting for Sleek to come out with some more matte shades since they are known for their extra shimmery shadows in previous palettes. So when I saw this one I could not resist.

Here they are swatched on my hand.
I will be using these in the crease of my eye and on the outer corner when I am using a more shimmery eyeshadow on the middle of the lid.

Overall, I think this is a beautiful palette and I think anyone would get a lot of use out of it.
Go get it! x

M.A.C Whisper of Gilt Skinfinish

I had my eyes on the new skinfinishes that M.A.C were bringing out with their new Extra Dimension collection. I was very upset to find that they had sold out by the time I got to purchase one.
I have since had the chance to get my hands on my favourite one, Whisper of Gilt.
And I must say it is absolutely beautiful.

These are unlike the mineralize skinfinishes and the texture is more creamy and smooth.
Even though this is a powder, it goes on like a cream and adds a beautiful sheen to the skin.

I like to use this with a brush or my finger to highlight my cheekbones, middle of my nose and cupids bow.

You could also try using this as an eyeshadow or on the collarbone for a radiant look.
The possibilities are endless x
